Dr. Malik is absolutely FABULOUS!! He is gentle, kind and caring. I had 8 or 9 cavities, some in the way back molars where they’re hard to reach. That didn’t stop him from being gentle, thorough and careful. I am incredibly afraid of the pain of the needle shot in my mouth. So he was patient and took the extra time to numb me up extra good before administering the Novacaine shot. I DIDN’T FEEL A THING!! NOT EVEN A PINCH!! I couldn’t believe it…

Very professional and friendly. I’ve been going to this office for many years and it has recently passed into new ownership and dentists. I was apprehensive since I had had the same dentist there for nearly 20 years but I am very pleased with the new dentists and their staff. I am pleased to recommend it.

ORAL CANCER SCREENINGS

The American Dental Association recommends that you see your dentist every six months. Doing so will give you the best chance of preventing serious dental diseases. At your regularly scheduled examination, your teeth will be cleaned by a professional who will remove all of the built-up plaque and calculus that your own toothbrush can’t reach. Other protective measures that we provide include:

  • Fluoride treatments- Flouride strengthens the enamel of your teeth and makes them more resistant to cavities. It can also stop developing cavities in their tracks!
  • Sealants- Tooth sealants are a thin coating of protective material that is painted onto your teeth and helps to prevent the build-up of bacteria in the deep grooves of your teeth.
  • Oral cancer screenings- It goes without saying that the earlier you catch cancer the better! You will be screened every six months if you keep to the recommended schedule!
  • Treatments for teeth grinding and headache- If you suffer from teeth grinding (also known as Bruxism), we offer custom made mouth guards that prevent your teeth from making contact and can help the muscles in your jaw relax.
  • If you haven’t been seeing a dentist regularly, don’t wait another day to make an appointment! Your health and your smile are worth it!

    EXTRACTIONS

Tooth extraction is the complete removal of a tooth down to the bone. There are two types of tooth extraction. A simple extraction can be performed by a general dentist when extracting teeth that can be seen in the mouth above the gum line. A surgical extraction is usually performed by an oral surgeon. This is when a tooth may have broken off at the gum line and is no longer visible in the mouth.

    BRIDGES & IMPLANTS

A dental implant is actually a root replacement, and unlike the root of a tooth, it is actually fused to the bone of the jaw. A crown is attached to the implant and becomes a standalone tooth, functioning and appearing just like the natural tooth you have lost. By contrast, a fixed bridge is a tooth restoration that is fixed in place by attaching to the natural adjacent teeth, which provide support on either side.

A dental bridge is made up of two anchoring teeth on either side of a gap these are called abutment teeth. Inside the gap sits the false tooth, called a pontic, which can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials. Adversely, a dental implant can be used to replace multiple teeth without the support of adjacent healthy teeth. Implants are fused to the jawbone and become a permanent fixture, lasting a lifetime with little maintenance required.

    Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening doesn’t always work on every tooth, so it’s important to talk to your dentist about all the different teeth whitening options out there. There are several to choose from, including special whitening toothpastes and rinses, gels, strips and trays. There is also an in-office bleaching option that works brilliantly, but is a more expensive option. Let your dentist help you choose which option is best for you.

    ×
    Periodontal/gum

If you have been told you have periodontal (gum) disease, you’re not alone. An estimated 80 percent of American adults currently have some form of the disease. Periodontal diseases range from simple gum inflammation to serious disease that results in major damage to the soft tissue and bone that support the teeth. In the worst cases, teeth are lost.

    ×
    Dentures

Dentures are removable devices that can replace missing teeth and restore your smile. If you have lost some or all of your natural teeth, whether from tooth decay, gum disease or some type of dental injury, replacing those teeth will benefit your health and your appearance. Choose from complete or partial dentures, conventional or immediate. Your dentist will help you decide which kind is right for you.

    ×
    Invisalign

If you aren’t satisfied with your teeth but the thought of wearing braces has stopped you from making a change, Invisalign is perfect for you! Invisalign uses clear, plastic alignment trays to gradually move your teeth into their prescribed position. The trays are practically “invisible”, comfortable, and removable during meals. You will get a new set of custom-made trays approximately every two weeks during treatment. You will end up with the beautiful smile you desire without the hassle of a mouthful of metal!

    ×
    BONDING & WHITE FILLING

The goal of cosmetic bonding is to repair aesthetics defects in your smile, such as cracks, chips, discoloration, and gaps. The process uses a durable plastic resin that can be utilized in dozens of ways to address your dental imperfections. Your smile is your identity, and often the first criteria others evaluate when meeting you. At Concord Family Dentistry, we want to empower you with a smile that they will recognize as welcoming as attractive. Cosmetic bonding is easy and one of the least expensive cosmetic dental procedures. Anesthesia is typically not required, and the process can usually be completed in one visit to our office.

    Laser Dentistry

Periodontal surgery is much easier with the help of the co2 laser. The co2 laser’s wavelength (10,600 nm) and affinity for water makes it the ideal tool for working on the soft tissues of your mouth (which are made of 95% water). With the gentle co2 laser, your oral surgery will be precise and you will experience only minimal swelling and scarring. Discomfort post-surgery will also be decreased.
